This is an exceptionally rare 5A+ Master Grade Curly Hawaiian Koa, representing one of the highest grades in our selection.
It features the rich golden-to-brown natural coloration characteristic of Hawaiian Koa, combined with deep, powerful three-dimensional curly figure. As the viewing angle and light change, the Master Curly figure comes alive with remarkable depth, movement, and natural luster.
Measuring approximately 670 mm long and 24 mm thick, this long-format piece provides excellent flexibility for custom cutting and processing. It is suitable for musical instrument components, handles, accessories, small custom pieces, fine woodworking, and a wide variety of specialty projects.
The wood is sourced directly from suppliers on Hawaii Island and supplied as part of an ongoing reforestation project.

Moisture Content & Drying
Our wood comes from naturally fallen trees or logs that have been air-dried in the forest for long periods.
Because of this, some pieces are ready to use, while others may require additional drying.
Hawaiian Koa is known as a wood that dries easily and is resistant to cracking and warping compared to many other tonewoods.
