Rare 2A+ [medium-low] grade curly Hawaiian koa wood.
It features the beautiful gold to brown hues characteristic of Hawaiian koa and natural curly figuring.
This is a 6-piece set for tenor ukulele construction, with the top, back, and sides combined in consideration of grain and color balance.
2A+ grade has slightly richer curly figuring than 2A and is a popular grade with excellent cost performance.
The wood is supplied directly from a supplier on the Big Island of Hawaii as part of a reforestation project.

Moisture Content & Drying
Our wood comes from naturally fallen trees or logs that have been air-dried in the forest for long periods.
Because of this, some pieces are ready to use, while others may require additional drying.
Hawaiian Koa is known as a wood that dries easily and is resistant to cracking and warping compared to many other tonewoods.
