This is a rare 4A [Mid-High] Grade curly Hawaiian Koa wood.
It features the beautiful gold to brown hues characteristic of Hawaiian Koa, along with a three-dimensional curly grain that emerges depending on the angle of light.
This is a two-piece bookmatched soundboard set carefully selected for soprano ukulele construction.
It can be used as a soundboard or back wood.
The wood is sourced directly from a supplier on the island of Hawaii and supplied as part of a reforestation project.

Moisture Content & Drying
Our wood comes from naturally fallen trees or logs that have been air-dried in the forest for long periods.
Because of this, some pieces are ready to use, while others may require additional drying.
Hawaiian Koa is known as a wood that dries easily and is resistant to cracking and warping compared to many other tonewoods.
